Does Defense Really Win Football Games?

After finishing the week 4-2, with a couple of winning +135 money line plays in college football, I’m hoping I can keep it rolling in the NFL, where I got off to a good start on Thursday night.

Below are my top NFL plays:

If you’ve watched any Buffalo (6-1) games this year, it’s easy to understand why many believe the Bills are the Super Bowl favorites, as they are nearly perfect on both sides of the ball.

You probably don’t get that feeling watching the Jets. Although New York is 4-1 under Zach Wilson, it has very little to do with the play of the second-year quarterback, who hasn’t progressed much after a challenging rookie year.

What the Jets do have is a defense that ranks highly against both the pass and the run. New York is yielding just 3.8 yards per rush and 5.8 yards per pass attempt.

Playing at home, I think the Jets can keep it close.
