Patience… Now!

OK, boys and girls, today I’m going preach what I don’t practice: patience.

To be successful in any kind of investment endeavor, you need three things:

1) A PROFITABLE METHOD
There is simply no getting around this. Either what you do works or it doesn’t. As the great Yoda once said, “Do or do not. There is no try.

This means pretending to win or “break-even” doesn’t cut it. No betting plan in the world will work if you have a negative ROI — nor will anything I say here.

From Dec. 5 to Dec. 16, I was 6-8 with a negative 9.54% ROI. I even took some time off the reevaluate my college basketball report, which I felt was underperforming. But the truth was, none of my algorithms were performing particularly well. I did find a small error in the NCAAB report, but everything else was fine — I concluded my bad run was just that, a bad run.

I was patient.

Since then, I’ve gone 21-10, and there is joy once more in Mudville.
